We collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, and messages sent through the platform. We also collect usage data such as login timestamps, feature usage, and export activity. Payment information is processed by Stripe and we do not store card details.
Your information is used to provide the CoParent AI service, including storing and verifying message records, providing AI analysis, generating exports, and sending email notifications. We do not use your message content to train AI models. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Messages sent through CoParent AI are stored permanently as immutable records. This is a core feature of the service. Messages are accessible to you and your connected co-parent. We cannot delete individual messages on your behalf — this is intentional to preserve record integrity.
Messages are processed by Anthropic's Claude AI for tone analysis, classification, and safety screening. This processing occurs in real-time and the content is not stored by Anthropic beyond the immediate API call. AI analysis results are stored in our database linked to your account.
We share data with: Supabase (database and authentication), Anthropic (AI message analysis), Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery), and Vercel (hosting). We do not share your data with attorneys, courts, or third parties without your explicit request.
Message records are retained indefinitely as they form your legal communication record. Evidence uploads are retained for 7 years. AI analysis logs are retained for 30 days (Premium) or 7 days (Pro) or 24 hours (Free). Account data is retained until you request deletion.
You have the right to access your data, export your records, and request account deletion. Note that due to the immutable nature of message records, individual messages cannot be selectively deleted. Account deletion removes your profile and personal data but message logs may be retained for legal compliance. Contact privacy@coparentai.com to exercise your rights.
We use cryptographic SHA-256 hashing, database-level row security policies, server-side AI processing (API keys never exposed to browsers), and encrypted data storage. Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. Please use a strong unique password.
CoParent AI is not intended for use by anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. Child profile information entered by parents (names, dates of birth) is used solely for organizing co-parenting records.
